RECENT NEWS

END OF SCHOOL --BACK TO SCHOOL     It's now the end of school for most school children and time for Wesley Center to begin our annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive.  An information sheet with items needed will posted soon.  Help us help children be successful in school. 

What's New:  Click on What's New in the left column to find out about our new gym floor; NOMADS here for two weeks to help with repairs and painting our facility.  Also find out about guitars needed for a youth guitar class.

PROGRAMS INCLUDE: 

• Centro de Salud (Health Center) providing primary medical care for low-income, uninsured persons through the services of volunteer doctors, interns, and medical assistants.  The clinic is currently open five days a week.
• Youth Services programming  includes 48 weeks of after-school tutoring and homework help during the school year and full-day activities with field trips during the summer.
• Community Outreach Services - includes Emergency Food Bags and Referral Services and other seasonal programs.
• Senior Companion Program and weekly Senior Womens Program    
• Sewing Classes are conducted twice weekly
• Sidewalk Sunday School is now at Amigos Center on Saturday mornings. 
• Amigos Center, a satellite center, housed at Calvary United Methodist Church in west Phoenix, offers Adult Education Progams including  English As Second Language, GED, basic computer classes plus  Boy and Girl Scouts Programs.
