About Us

Boy Scout Troop 791 salute the flag at Amigos Center, a satellite program of Wesley Center

Wesley Community Center is a Valley of the Sun United Way Primary Partner and a National Mission Institution of the United Methodist Church.

Established in 1950, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community service organization dedicated to empowering and assisting families in the south-central Phoenix community of Nuestro Barrio (our neighborhood).
This predominately Hispanic community is home to approximately 7,000 individuals, 70% living in sub-standard housing. They are beset by extreme poverty, social problems, high crime rates, and a 42% school dropout rate.

We make positive changes in the lives of our clients and their children through our programs and services.

Wesley's vision statement,
"Together We Empower Positive Change" is at the heart of all Wesley programs.

Tours & Luncheons

Contact us to make arragements for a tour of Wesley's facilities and programs. Meet the staff, talk to the participants, and witness - first-hand - a community center in action. And enjoy a Mexican lunch.

Your Wesley Community Center contributions make every dollar count. Thank You!
